- To be able to put forth our ideas to the principal with use of a student representative.
- To make the VLC more like a 'brick and mortar' school with a graduation prom (further details on this in the future), to run a monthly newspaper (to which all students can contribute, with one editor), to engage in study groups (organized by subject or grade) and essentially students working together as they would in a brick school.
- To promote leadership and determination amongst students (we will have meetings regularly to discuss ideas).
- To promote skills that we will need in the future such as writing skills (newspaper articles), debating, brainstorming, teamwork and initiative.
If you come up with anymore reasons to present to the school, please tell me!
Thanks,
Laura Mirzai

Creating a student body at VLC would be a great oppurtunity to learn, and improve the school with the students' ideas. It would make VLC seem like a brick school, and you would have more fun, and be more involved. I, myself am president in the student council at my school, and it has been a great experience for me. Good luck!
